What if wellbeing was the top goal this year?
As a new school year begins, there’s a lot to focus on: new routines, new goals, new skills and new opportunities for growth.
But there’s one thing that can help make all of it possible: wellbeing.
In Proof Positive’s first-of-its-kind national Autism Wellbeing Survey, almost 2 in 3 autistic individuals, caregivers, educators and service providers said that prioritizing wellbeing makes it easier to build other skills.
That’s a powerful reminder as we enter a season centered on learning and growth: wellbeing isn’t separate from progress, achievement, or skill-building. It’s the foundation that makes them possible.
Start the year with wellbeing.
Whether you’re heading back to a classroom, supporting someone who is, or simply settling into a new fall routine, this is a good time to ask: What would it look like to make wellbeing a priority?
It might mean:
Building in time for connection and belonging
Making space for strengths and interests
Protecting time for play and rest
Checking in on wellbeing alongside progress toward other goals
Small shifts can make a meaningful difference.
And bring someone with you.
The Autism Wellbeing Alliance is building a community of autistic people, families, educators, service providers and allies who believe wellbeing deserves to be a priority.
Know someone who should be a part of it? Invite them to join us.
Here’s to a year of wellbeing,
